I am hard on myself too. I am taking walk breaks for my 8-10 miles even. I used to run a 8mm for those so its very difficult to sort of waddle along. (i'm sure you aren't but I am!) But you will get there!!

good TR Group with Matthew 4.2 mi 00:43 10:17 pace
Took my 11 year old out for his longest run ever. He said he wanted to try 4 miles, which I thought was pretty ambitious in the early evening heat on hilly Ronald Reagan. He's run one 5K (two ... read more

Congratulations to Matthew! That's a great run for an 11-year-old. My daughter, just turned 10, is now on the Smyrna Youth Track Team. It's kind of nice to be able to ensure she runs regularly without having to do all the runs with her. I love to go and watch her run. Tell Matthew he has a fan club and we're looking forward to hearing all about the PRR!

I'm really sorry you are having multiple issues crop up! I guess you can be thankful that this didn't happen to you in Boston. Still, I know it's highly annoying to have to cut a run short. Hang in there and let it rest a little. You really are still getting some good runs in!
