      Hi Mel! Thanks! So far, so good. I do exercises and stretching at night, and now I'm walking. I feel a lot better than I did a week ago. It has been a learning experience for sure! I pushed too hard and got hurt but now I'm on the mend. :-)

      Hi Milan! Thank you so much for your comment. I'm resting up for the remainder of the week. My Achilles tendons and quads are a bit sore from yesterday's run. Not a biggie, though. By Saturday I'll be as right as rain and ready to give it my all at the 5K. Thanks again! :-)

      Hi Tammy, Skibba, and Glenn! Thank you for your comments - I appreciate it. That's right, I won't let the humidity stop me from running. There's always a way. My new hydration belt is insulated, so I can add ice to my water bottle and have a cool, refreshing drink during my runs. :-)

      Thanks, Glenn! Unfortunately I aggravated my shins a bit, guess I must have overdid it lately. My shins are my Achilles heel. I'm taking a break from running, icing, compression, giving myself the old RICE treatment, see if it helps. Hope you're doing well! :-)

      Hi Mel! And thank you! The weather definitely affects a person's performance when running, cycling, etc. My last two runs were done with low humidity and I felt great! When the humidity is way up there it just drains me. But hot or cold, dry or humid, I'll be out there!

      Hi Mel! Thank you so much! I will definitely tend to my ankle. Icing several times today, lying on couch later watching baseball on TV with foot up on a pillow. Now I've got a reason to be a couch potato! It's medicinal. :-)
