      We targeted Thanksgiving. He shot down my initial suggestion of the Topanga Turkey Trot because it was too far of a drive. I didn't mention there would be a lot of hills. After today, I think we'll stick to a flat road run somewhere very close.

      Thanks Leah, but the 500s were coming 30 seconds faster 3 months ago with 30 secs of rest not 40 secs between intervals. Then again, maybe I'm still tired after Tiki and Silverman.

      I agree with all of the above. I love the social, we're-all-in-this--together feel of trail running and really don't miss every-man-for-himself road races. The last time I did a road marathon, I ended up asking everyone who stopped or was walking whether they were OK. They gave me funny looks. This is why I say that "road" is a four-letter word.
