      @Pope, they did move the marathon start time up 30 min and had hundreds and hundreds of medical, police, and volunteers on the course. The last the race I heard of cancellation because of heat was the Chicago Marathon back in 2007.

      Pete, there were tons of little kids running with us. Lots of fun. The course went by super fast. A little pricey ($40) but good support, swag, and pie!

      Sounds like a perfect family outing! I registered my husband to do a bubble run 5k with us on May 2nd. We'll mostly be walking as he can't really run, but it will be fun to do an event together with our daughter.

      April, it was definitely a family fun atmosphere. I think Alex and I only ran close to a mile. The rest was walking. I think Kim and Matt walked about 90% of it.
