Short story: this book was on the floor in the hallway and i came out of the bedroom and accidentally kicked it. RESULTING IN A SEVERELY FRACTURED TOE. What?!?! I wish I was kidding.

How I *broke my toe* on such a thin book -- granted, a hardback large format, but STILL -- I don't know. I can only think I must have kicked it into the wall and that's where the force came from. It all happened so fast and HURT LIKE HELL. But I went to the gym to weigh in and then to my bowling league and it hurt the whole time and then the first time I stepped up to bowl it hurt so bad I burst into tears.

Tiffany - thanks! I was starting to worry about myself there for awhile. :) Too soon to say for sure (don't want to jinx myself!) but I seem to have re-found the mindset that even if it is just a little bit -- like what I did today -- getting out every day is something I have control over. And that it is mine, for me. With a 13-year-old in the house, it's also nice to feel in some area that I am actually in charge. :P

Alicyn - I have to fight against a tendency towards "all or nothing" thinking. Like, I had planned/wanted to do 3 miles this morning but as soon as we got the morning going (drop child off at school, etc.) I knew I was too tired to do 3 miles. Generally I then follow that thought with "...so might as well not do anything." So, I'm determined to thwart that! :)

Tiffany - it really is fun. And I have to say, it helps when I am pissed at the husband for something because I think "the dude can't do a cha cha cha hip shake for beans and yet he is doing zumba with me" and can't help but know he loves me (whatever he has done to piss me off at the time notwithstanding!). Those kind of moments are really nice to still have after all this time (considering we've been married 16 years and together 23.)
