  1. RUN
    9 mi 01:06 07:21 pace

Attacked my R foot and calf with the foam roller, heat and compression last night, and it went very well -- feeling a lot better. Need to stick with it. Recovered well from the workout yesterday.

  2. RUN
    10 mi 01:11 07:08 pace

First workout in the books. Nice to eclipse that mental hurdle. 4 x 5 min hard, 3 min easy. Not much, but went well and a step forward. Weather cooperated, too.

  3. RUN
    8 mi 00:59 07:22 pace

Foot feels a little better and there was finally a respite from the heat and humidity. First workout tomorrow.

  4. RUN
    9 mi 01:05 07:12 pace

Ended this week better than when I started. Let's keep it going.

  5. RUN
    15 mi 01:47 07:08 pace

Surprised at the pace. Felt like I was dogging it. My foot is bothering me, too, which is something I really need to monitor. Doing whatever I can to mitigate the issue.

  6. RUN
    8.2 mi 01:02 07:33 pace

Conditions remain brutal. Not as bad as yesterday, though, and my right calf is being stubborn. Need to try harder to loosen it up.

  7. RUN
    7 mi 00:52 07:21 pace

Brutal conditions and felt sluggish. Not a good combo.

  8. RUN
    10 mi 01:09 06:51 pace

First "long" run and week of training complete. 17 more of both to go.

  9. RUN
    6.3 mi 00:47 07:27 pace

Run from this morning. Going longish tomorrow.

  10. RUN
    6.3 mi 00:46 07:13 pace

Nice to have a reprieve from the oppressive heat and humidity, no matter how short-lived it may be.

  11. RUN
    6 mi 00:44 07:17 pace

Not much you can do but cruise and take it easy when dew points are in the 70s.

  12. RUN
    6.3 mi 00:45 07:08 pace

Feeling a little bit better today.

  13. RUN
    5 mi 00:37 07:17 pace

Sheesh. Feel out of shape. Finally slept well, though, so that's a good thing. I'll get there eventually. Time is on my side.

  14. RUN
    5 mi 00:38 07:35 pace

Day No. 1 of @Philly_Marathon training.
