My two mantras today: "it IS that hot, and this IS your pace, deal with it" and "base is more important than pace". Found a site that said to add 20% of your normal pace for runs w/finishing temps of 80-85, and guess what? I pretty much hit that (at approx 9 min/mile pace for my norm pace). So, I'll take it. Just gotta get up a little earlier next time to hit a full 10k.
