First 5K race of 2013! This same course holds my PR from September, where I ran it in 33 and change. They made a change to the turn-around, so this course was .5 longer - but I came in 3 minutes slower. Pretty good for not working out for a month during December. I felt FANTASTIC the first half of the race, but as soon as I turned around I was running into the wind and was tired. Walked up the big hill on the way back, which is more for my hip preservation than my fitness. Overall - good race and excited to kick off more races this year!
