Thx everyone:)! It's really feeling good again.
E, I'm leaning toward running the Caumsett 5K on Mon June 28th. Thinking I could do it with a 1:3 walk/run ratio. But regardless of the race, sushi & beer afterwards is a MUST:)!!!

RUN
5.04 km 00:34 10:50 pace
Nice run today, intended to try to run this run with no walk breaks, and just take it slow, but it was too hot & muggy, so I bumped up the walk/run to a 1:4 ratio & the legs felt awesome. ... read more

RUN
great 3.27 mi 00:36 10:56 pace
Great run today. Slowed it down a tad, as I tried the walk 30sec/run 2min & wasn't sure how the legs would deal with recovery. Overall everything was fine. I didn't feel winded, felt... read more

Keep playing around with it. As you get stronger and fitter you will need to keep adjusting. Good going (and not a bad pace overall at all!)

Thanks everyone:)!!
Petra, one of the best things I love about the walk/run thing is the ability to adjust over time. As I'm in this for the long hall (till I'm 100), and not for the speed (which should come in time), this has definitely been a great plan so far. I'm thinking in time, settling in at a walk1/run4 or a walk30/run4, unless totally decide 30secs of walking isn't enough???

Thanks everyone:)!! After NYC I hit a really bad place, took a long time to make my brain realize I can still do this. Running lately has been such a joy & I LOVE it again, and am finally feeling my legs again. I'm no longer in it for speed. Just to run injury free & happy.
Thanks G, you are a big reason I'm back in my happy place. Love your podcast, story & watching you fly:)!!!
