There is the San Francisco marathon in July but it is a hilly course. The Santa Rosa marathon in August is a flat, double loop and two of my friends BQ'ed there this year.

I am not well versed in marathons but I have many friends that gone to the Eugene Marathon with hopes of a boston qualifier, also I have friends that say San Diego RnR, but the weather is pretty unpredictable and could throw a wrench in your finishing time

My friend is trying to convince me to run Modesto in March (week before Oakland). Yes, it's a bit of a drive, but it's really flat.

Thank you, everyone. I have settled on training for SF Marathon. I know it's hilly, but I plan to incorporate hills into my training, as I love trail running. Also, I want to qualify for Boston earlier in the year versus later and not travel too far from home. I appreciate your feedback! :-)
