    Good run with my sister and friends today! We had a little man in a stroller with us to who was such a trooper, even in the rain. Breakfast after the run was better than anything!

      Oh! Speedwork is awesome. You'll find it really builds up your stamina. When I train for shorter races, I run 400's, and for longer races, I run 800's and mile repeats. For example, today, I warmed up for 3/4 mile (slow), and then ran 10 x 400's at a fast pace, with 1/10 mile recoveries in between. For 800's and mile repeats, my recoveries are usually 1/4 mile. I do it once per week, or even less often. It's hard but effective.

  4. My workout today consisted if cleaning my sons toy room! It got my mind off other things and gave my body a little rest. Now if I could only go to sleep so I could wake up bright and early for a run!
