Short tempo run. Still in recovery mode from UVM. Get to start training for the Denver Rock n Roll Marathon on Monday! 1 mile warm up, 2.44 miles @ 8:11 pace, 1.8 mile cool down! Kind of hot out there shouldn't have waited so late to get it done!


Nice zippy tempo in the heat! I'm excited that you will start your official training on Monday! Are you following one of Hals plans? I'm doing hals intermediate 2 plan, but with the advanced speed workout during the longer mid-week run...sort of a cut & paste plan!

I loosely use the paces, the tempos were WAY to long and scary! The McMillan running calculator is interesting, I used my goal time...wider range of paces and great resource for speedwork paces!

Your fourth?! You are a freakin' rock star! Yes, registration opened today but I heard that it sells out quickly. I really, really want to do it and didn't want it to sell out! Good luck in Denver, I sure hope you BQ!
