  1. RUN
    good 3.24 mi 00:40 12:20 pace

Randomly chose a workout from the 10k program that follows the c25k program. Love that these speeds on the treadmill have been feeling so easy.

  2. RUN
    good 3.06 mi 00:36 11:46 pace

First 3 miler in a while. Funny how I went from running three miles all the time to celebrating this milestone!

Yeah, my pace is always slower on the treadmill. I'm just too nervous to run around my neighborhood, all the curving streets really gets my IT band.

good Mild intervals 2.71 mi 00:33 12:11 pace

Was pressed for time so I mixed it up on the treadmill.

I had a little setback with my left calf this weekend but I rested and iced it and it's doing better. Thanks for asking!

that's good. Don't be like me and over due it for years and then have all kinds of injuries down the road as you get older. If I could do it over again I would have taken better care of my body. Being in the Army twice didn't help either

  4. RUN
    good 2.79 mi 00:35 12:32 pace

Working on gradually increasing my time running. Still on the treadmill, thankfully my view has been improving over the last couple of days. Mild irritation from the left IT band, also mild tightne... read more

  5. RUN
    good 2.42 mi 00:30 12:24 pace

Trying to limit my time in the gym. Felt much better except for the constant side stitch and the rainy drive home.

  6. RUN
    good 2.13 mi 00:28 13:10 pace

There were some walk breaks here and there but at least there was no pain. Wish I could get away from the treadmill but the smooth surface helps keep the IT band from getting inflamed.

  7. RUN
great Neighborhood Loop 1.5 mi 00:21 13:48 pace

W1D2 C25K program. Great day to run weather wise and great to run off some stress because apparently I waited a little too long to shop for a Mardi Gras gown, the selection in town is...blech. Foun... read more

    good W1D1 (again) of C25K 2.23 mi 00:32 14:25 pace

I know, I extended it past the 20 minute guideline but a girl's got to fit into her Mardi Gras gown. No IT band pain but I was certainly hyper aware of it.

  9. Looking forward to restarting the Couch to 5k program today in hopes of overcoming my ridiculously injury prone left leg. I am willing to go back to square one to get back to pain free runs!

That is an awesome program. I would not be where I am today without it. I know you've taken some time off. With this injury; how long did you go without running?

I've been taking off single weeks here and there. Unfortunately yesterday (week one, day one) was the most painful run yet. Don't know what I'm besides making a doctors appointment at this point.

Yeah, unfortunately, it sounds like its time for a doc visit. Plus, you'll probably need to take about two weeks to a month off. It sucks, but sometimes it's necessary. Let us know what the doc says. :)

I think it's more because one of my legs is a little longer than the other (broke it as a child). I'm thinking that I just need to get back to a non-injured state before I try again.

I agree take it from me when I was in the military just got out for the second time this year I always came back to soon from injury because that was the way the Army wanted. Now I have leg injuries from the past that stop me from running as fast or as far as I use to. So please take it easy and wait until you are healed

      take care my friend
