I hope this is the last of the warm and muggy mornings! Overall it was a pretty fun run. I saw two big groups of military men (and a few women) out on the Trace running (and yelling). :o) Nothing like a bunch of men yelling behind you to get your butt in gear. I timed it perfectly with the second group as we both crossed West Hills Dr at the same time so I got to benefit from their traffic-stopping skills. But ultimately having them swarming around me that first half of my run probably made me run a bit too fast and the second half of my run wasn't nearly as fun. I think the humidity really took its toll and I slowed way down. But I did get a much needed drizzle of rain at the very end that felt really great. Looks like Thursday's run will be in the LOW 50s! And it looks like my coach may be joining me for it. Should be another fun one (or he could make it complete torture... I guess we'll see...) http://connect.garmin.com/activity/224199669

Nice run! I saw the military groups also, so I must have just missed you. Exciting that your coach will be running with you! Is it like a test?

When are you going to do a 5K already?? The Pumpkin Dash is a fun one! (October 26)

Well, to answer your first question, this isn't supposed to be a test (that comes later) so I'm hoping he's not going to trick me! As for the 5K thing, I am definitely wanting to do the Thames 5K Nov. 3 (I've even added it to my races here on DailyMile! Which makes it "official" right?). :o) Where is the Pumpkin Dash?

ok, great! Maybe I'll do that one too...is that one here in town? The Pumpkin Dash is on the Trace at the USM gateway...the proceeds go to support the School Psychology Service Center here in our department.

I'll look into the Pumpkin Dash. I'm always nervous that I'm not ready for one yet! And I don't want to come in dead last! Anyway, the Thames is here in town starting and ending at Thames Elementary. I know a lot of people running it so I knew it would be a fun one to run (and if it ends up being my first 5K then I know I'll have a lot of support!).
