    Thursday night steady.

  2. RUN
    alright 10.09 km 01:07 10:36 pace

Wednesday night hills are hard you guys.

  3. RUN
    good 16.05 km 01:39 09:56 pace

This is what a long run looks like when you quit marathon training and decide to focus on the half marathon. It looks much shorter!

  4. RUN
    8.28 km 00:49 09:34 pace

I'm going to continue to run the marathon training distances during the week, but just do the half distances on Sundays.

  5. RUN
    good 8.38 km 00:58 11:09 pace

Most successful hill night so far.

  6. RUN
    alright 20.3 km 02:11 10:23 pace

This is the run that made up my mind. It was supposed to be 29k, but I had to cut it short at 20k. A marathon is not in the books for me this year.

  7. Shared Photo

With 30k on the schedule for tomorrow, this is where you will find me today!

  8. RUN
    alright 7 km 00:40 09:18 pace

This was supposed to be a 9K, but the evening talk went too long, and I had a time limit on my evening, so we did an out and back. 20 minutes one way, 20 minutes, the other way.

  9. RUN
Snow Birds Hill Training 8.01 km 00:49 09:50 pace

So, it was hill training night, and the snow birds were putting on a show. Doesn't it sound like a good idea to head to the best viewing spot in town, and do your hill training with 40,000 peo... read more

  10. RUN
alright The Bacon Run 19 km 01:56 09:50 pace

It was tough to get out for 19K after having had a mini-stress break down this week and not run at all. But there was all you can eat bacon at the end.

  11. RUN
    blah 24.51 km 02:41 10:33 pace

This was a tough one. It was supposed to be 26K, but I had to cut it short because my lower back was killing me.

  12. RUN
    good 8.13 km 00:49 09:47 pace

I think this was the best run so far this training session. It was a pretty steady run, in some pretty sucky heat, but all in all, I felt like a runner.

The lower back got a little sore with ab... read more

  13. RUN
    alright 8 km 00:51 10:20 pace

Last week I made it through 2 1/2 out of the 4 scheduled hill repeats, thanks to a sore lower back from taking a fall.

This week I made it through 4 1/2 out of the 5 scheduled repeats! Improveme... read more

  14. RUN
    alright 22.98 km 02:19 09:43 pace

    It's Sunday Runday!

17 months ago, I was out on a 29K run. We were 23k in to the run when my calf muscle just seized up and I couldn't run anymore. I had to walk the last 6k. I ended up... read more

Back over 21.1km. Nice! Time to ramp up the mid-week runs to match your Sunday. It's risky to be doing more than 50% of your weekly mileage on one day.

This week was a bit of a write off due to taking a bad fall Monday. Next week should be better.

  15. RUN
    blah 6.01 km 00:36 09:42 pace

Still feeling stiff from the fall, so I cut the scheduled 8k run down to 6 and felt pretty good. I still have stiffness in my lower back, but it's improving.

  16. RUN
    injured 6.85 km 00:46 10:50 pace

First night of hill training and it sucked.

I took a bad fall on Monday night while I was out exploring a local river bank with the family. One minute I was walking along the rive bank, the next ... read more
