It's Sunday Runday!

17 months ago, I was out on a 29K run. We were 23k in to the run when my calf muscle just seized up and I couldn't run anymore. I had to walk the last 6k. I ended up having to drop out of marathon training last year and spent 8 months on the slow road to recovery.

I started back running with a serious goal in mind on January 1 of this year and have completed 2 half marathons, and a series of other races.

Today was my first time over 21.1km since my injury and it feels good to be past that milestone! Next week will be my longest run since the injury, which is awesome, but terrifying.

    Back over 21.1km. Nice! Time to ramp up the mid-week runs to match your Sunday. It's risky to be doing more than 50% of your weekly mileage on one day.
