  1. Still have some issues with the knee. I am running a 10K on Sunday and then going to see a doctor on Monday. I can't wait to finally find out what is wrong with it. I still can't believe ... read more

Tweaked my knee on Sunday and still having issues. Going to ride the bike for the next 3 days and try running again on Sunday. There goes my plan to not lose much fitness after the Chicago Marathon :(

Decent 15 mile week following the Chicago marathon. Today was proof that we should probably stop complaining to the BOA Chi board about moving the race later in the month. October is such an incons... read more

It was warmer here today too (and was pretty chilly yesterday). Agree...October is inconsistent weather wise. Nice 5-miler!

Nice miles post marathon Kevin! I heard it was a nice race. I know a gal here who did back to back weekend races and she said she used a "taper schedule" in between to stay loose. I can ask her if she has any other tips. Good luck!

Me too!! well, I ran a 3-miler today, which was my first run since the marathon. I have never run a back to back race like that before, but I think you would be able to handle two halfs back to back like that , no problem.

I've done back to back halfs before-Indy Mini and Flying Pig. I think they are the first weekend in May? Indy is flat and a good one to race for time, FP is a hilly mofo but a great experience. Didn't have any issues doing 2 in 2 days.

Also, best stop had to have been at mile 10 or in Chinatown. Mile 10 included a bunch of girls singing "Call me Maybe" and it was ridiculously funny. Also, we got some "Gagnam style" in Chinatown...HILARIOUS!

Overall and as you can see, I timed the half perfect for a sub 4 but just didn't have it in me today...Still very happy with the huge PR (Previous was a 4:41) and I kept fighting!
