Always great to have it done before others are even waking up! :-) Nice job with a great 5 this morning, Kerri!

be careful running on the treadmill. because treadmills are shown to increase stress fractures. treadmills are also false in the aspect it can pull you along. the quality of running outside on concrete is more suitable. preferable would be trails often as possible and track for speed. but if at worse case scenerio treadmills at night at 2 grade is more representative of actually running on "earth". lol

Well I wake up at 5am to workout and it's either treadmill or nothing. I don't feel safe running around alone, outside, in the dark so I will have to chance it. I do a lot of intervaling and have trained for this upcoming half marathon on the treadmill.. 12 miles is my max though.. I know it's not realistic to think I can train for my marathon in October so I'll make sure to get outside. I like going to the Metroparks and I love trail running. My main goal at present right now though is weight loss.

A lot of treadmill training is a reality of my life too. I would rather run on the treadmill than not run at all!

investing into a hat with a light on top and a reflecting jacket might be worth it. weight loss will occur much faster if you run outside due to the constant change of elevation, stop and go. you will burn more calories that way. to lose weight you must change your lifestyle of eating. i changed mine on january 15th of this year. and i have seen some major results from the transition. if you want to know more message me.

I don't see that happening in the mornings but I do plan to start more outside running soon now that it's lighter out longer. I also plan to get some burns in on my lunch breaks too! I am so anal about my calorie intake it's not even funny. I count literally ever morsel I put in my body. I've lost 47 pounds thus far, slowly but surely. I will appreciate any tips but I think I have a good handle on things :) I'm focused to say the least. Just under eight months til my wedding :)
