      Vinny I own one and I'm very happy with it. I use it to crosstrain.
      I'm thinking you would like one of their hybrid models that can be used on the road or trail. Best advice I can give it go to a reputable bike shop and tell them what your looking to do. Keep us updated:)

      I totally thought I was losing a leg today, this great big chocolate lab came barreling after me barking and growling, teeth bared and he didn't stop until he was 6 inches from me-I thought it was the end! I think I might start carrying a big stick or pepper spray, but I hate to do that!

      I did a 12 miler down there last year. I just stuck to the main roads so I wouldn't get lost. I managed to find my way up a big @ss hill and get a good view of the city though.
