great Gyro to downtown and back 14.51 km 01:45 11:39 pace

Another long run in 4" of fresh snow. It wasn't supposed to snow until noon today but it started last night instead so I was stuck running in fresh snow again. Ah well, although it slowed my pace, it wasn't all that bad as most of the path and boardwalk had been plowed. The worst area was from Gyro to the bike path where I had to run on the road or unplowed sidewalks.

There was a strong wind coming off the lake which was blowing small drifts in exposed areas but most of the run was protected from wind by the buildings so it was all good. My quads, hammies, and calves felt pretty stiff from the cold by the time I got home. Hopefully no lasting effects though.

0C tights, LS tech, mid zero jersey, Versa jacket, cap, and headband. Gloves part of the time. My Ipod died after 30 min. headphones would stay plugged into iphone so I ran without entertainment. It's ok, I did lots of mental planning instead.

I wore my PI trail shoes again because they have better traction than my Newtons.
