A great run this evening and finally some cooler temperatures (well, not in the 90s at least!). Ran a little over 2 miles to the bar to meet up with everyone. Saucony was on site and letting us test drive some shoes so I decided to test out a pair of Kinvaras for the run. I have a huge callous on the outside of my right big toe which got a blister under it during the race on Sunday so my shoes were hurting a little. The Kinvaras were great on the toe but the ball of my left foot went numb during the run. Not ideal. Went a little over 4 miles in the Kinvaras and added a bit at the end to make it 6.5 for the night. Then some beers, appetizers, and good conversation at the bar!
Splits were 8:55/8:43/9:32/9:26/8:26/8:50/8:06 for the last .5 Middle miles were with the group on the sidewalks so they were slow and stopped for lights.
