I know what you mean about freaking yourself out! I'm really good at that. I just hope I don't go Kung Fu on someone who startles me on the trails! (BTW, my only Kung Fu experience is watching the Karate Kid)

I do the same thing, which is why I am trying to run in the evenings now, I have to be ready for my day at 7:15 and it doesn't start getting light out until almost 7 now!
