I was supposed to go on a bike ride today with a random, new acquaintance (Alyssa) this morning, but we woke up to rainy, cold weather. :-( So we opted to do pilates instead. We had yet another new teacher (our current instructor is out on maternity leave), and not going to lie, this workout was a bit odd. Lots of abs and back work, but then lots of shoulder, biceps, and triceps work with weights...on one foot? Yeah, and she told everyone to grab 5-6 lb weights. I don't consider myself to have terribly weak shoulders but mine were killing me and I switched to 4 lb weights half way through. Someone could seriously do some damage if they push it and don't use proper technique. Just a strange pilates class.
Alyssa and I are going to shoot for a 7am bike ride tomorrow morning (yes, I am choosing to get up that early to workout on my weekend) so that we can get it in before my morning graduation brunch with my program director and classmates. Here's to hoping for better weather!
