Monday long run, easy first run around Santee. Had a little discomfort in my ankle after the first couple of miles, which made it easier to slow things down to my target pace (actually overshot it by an average of 8 seconds, but that's probably better than consistently undershooting by 20-40 seconds per mile). There's a hell of a lot of intersections in this town, but at least there's usually sidewalks, crosswalks, and traffic signals to go along with them. I'm going to need to find somewhere more isolated before I try any speedwork.

In other news, I think I've almost finished digesting the epic pile of nachos and guacamole I ate yesterday.

    One of the tragedies of living north is the lack of good avocados. I think you should have some more guacamole to balance our deprivation up here.
