Will I ever do a 10K under the hour? I've lost 10 pounds, I run 4 times a week, distance and speed work. Other than growing wings how can I get faster?

You'll do it one day with such ease you'll wonder how you haven't done it in the past. It's probably down to pacing... have someone run 59 minute speed with you :)

I have no idea, I find this running stuff a complete mystery! How can I run 10mls one day and feel great and yet lurch through 4mls totally exhausted? You are a brilliant runner though, that I do know :)

A race is so different to training. Whenever I look at my past race figures I wonder how I managed it, so I have no doubts that you can do it!

If you are this close in training, you should be able to do it in a race. Try to overwhelm the negative thoughts with positive ones during the race. You've trained for it, you can do it!
