RUN
good Neighborhood Hills 5.5 mi 00:52 09:29 pace
We had people over all afternoon so I had to make this short and run from home. The hills here are massive. There is one that is steep and goes on for about 6/10 of a mile. I have yet to make it up... read more

Yay for the progress on the monster hill!! Nice pace on that impromptu 5.5 today as well--looks like you are definitely getting the running groove back.

Thanks guys! Trust me when I say that I never ran up a hill like the one in our neighborhood while living in KY! :) Not that they aren't there, I just never did one.

Missing your posts and came to see where you were! I'm beginning to realize posts are not always appearing in my line! Never saw this one or the one about your move! Hate to see you leaving the Ville, but Pittsburg is a great city! Can't wait til you get settled down so we can follow your new adventures!

We use to make that trip every summer to visit my dad's family (except we had to ride in the back of a pick up with with a topper and no air til I was a teen...Kansas was always brutal!) LOL. Just be careful with running/exertion if you go up into the mountains where the air gets really thin, altitude headaches/nausea are worse than migraines (made that mistake in Estes once..never again.)

Great 3+ in the heat---I won't go out in anything over 85 by rule as my body just can't adjust to the temps. Smart move packing it in early. Cangrats on the move to Pittsburgh coming up! How exciting. Definitely don't stress about the workouts and just fit them in where you can--you'll be doing plenty getting ready for the move!

One of my good running buddies (who is a real runner) always reminds me that summer is just the time to maintain/survive and that all the other seasons are for improving. Just a reminder when runs are rough. The humidity really does change things!
