Knee still bothering me pretty bad today. Really thinking it's an IT Band issue. Hoping it doesn't keep me from training too much for the Rock n Roll New Orleans race. I refuse to run another Half without training, but I really want to run that race with my husband!

    Katie- two things. Look into the book "Trigger Point Therapy Workout" for the pains. Second, ITB issues are caused by bad form. I highly recommend you learn and start applying ChiRunning. www.ChiRunning.com - it takes about 4-6 weeks to learn, but I have been injury free for almost 10 months and I ran 23 races with ChiRunning principles. I became stronger, less faigued and faster. Most importantly, injury free.

    Thanks. I'm thinking it's probably from the shoes I was wearing. I don't wear them very often because I don't like them as much....now I know why, ha! Going to try to get it stretched out enough that I can run again and go back to my Newtons. After almost a year of running, this will be my first running injury :(

    Shoes do play a major role in injury - but I would still recommend you study proper and natural form. It will keep you injury free for a long, long time :)

    I had a bit of knee pain and also thought it was my IT bands. Bought a Marathon Stick to stretch them and also looked up some stretches on YouTube. Both worked great and my knees are pain free now. Def recommend the Marathon Stick
