      Nice Job:

Looks fine, too. Nice pace today -- just two-days after your big event.

  2. RUN
tired Boulder Half Ironman 13.1 mi 02:55 13:21 pace

And here it where I totally bonked. Very hot. My first few miles were adequate. Awful stomach problems after my Gu at mile 2. Almost quit by mile four but managed to shake it off by walking 2 miles... read more

good Boulder Half Ironman 56 mi 03:39 15.3mph pace

A very good start, steady pace. My Garmin got possessed and only registered 35 miles - so I was technically naked. Got my fuel and fluid right. Had an exhausted breakdown at mile 50 but kept spinni... read more

  4. swim
    good Boulder Half Ironman 1935 m 00:58 47:53 pace

Made it through the swim. The people around me were NUTS. Kept getting whacked in the back and got a good kick in the face resulting in a minor bloody nose. Only one apology. WTH??? Finally couldn&... read more

  5. VELO
    great Platte 32 mi 01:54 16.9mph pace

    Good ride, great company.

  6. swim
    great Chatfield Gravel Pond 750 m 00:22 47:12 pace

Great open water swim with my buddy Morriah. Everything is easier with company. As long as I could see her little yellow cap bobbing along ahead of me then I knew all was well.

  7. RUN
    good TM 7 mi 01:07 09:30 pace

Too hot outside, had to settle for the treadmill and felt just fine. A strong seven right after my swim.

  8. RUN
    alright Neighborhood 4 mi 00:38 09:30 pace

Thought I was being a weenie until I realized it was still 90 degrees as the sun went down! Now I feel much tougher.

  9. walk
    great 6 mi 01:30 15:00 pace

Nice long walk with my hubby and Ruby-dog.

  10. RUN
tired My Way or the Tri Way - First... 3.1 mi 00:33 10:38 pace

Just getting worse and worse. Legs cramped up and was gulping to breathe the whole way. Had to walk which just made me nuts. About a mile in it hit me ... the race swim caps were not silicone, they... read more

Yikes! Do races have latex alternative caps? Good thing this wasn't your 70.3! I guess that is why you do a "practice" tri beforehand. Even with an allergic reaction, your pace was decent. I know it wasn't what you would hope, but it wasn't walking.

blah My Way or the Tri Way 11 mi 00:41 16.1mph pace

Short of breath and felt like I was working far harder than this relatively easy route should allow. Chalked it up to nerves.

    • Lisa

Nerves and your high heart rate from the swim. Great job!!

  12. swim
alright My Way or the Tri Way 750 m 00:26 55:47 pace

NERVOUS!!! Totally panicked in the first 100 m. Only got in a groove at the midpoint. Still finished faster than I was anticipating with my rough start.

    • Lisa

Great job. My chest constricts just reading this. I am so glad you were able to overcome the panic and get into your groove.

    good Neighborhood 3 mi 00:28 09:20 pace

Shake down run as I'm a ball of nerves over my first triathlon in the morning. Bike and run ... no problem. But that open water swim has got me tied in a million knots. Can't wait to get ... read more

  15. VELO
great Cherry Creek 20.25 mi 01:21 15.0mph pace

Easy, conversational 20 miles with my friend Jill. Made sure to take it slow as we both have upcoming races and need to keep our legs fresh.

  16. VELO
    good 48 mi 03:10 15.2mph pace

From my doorstep to Confluence Park and home again. Hot and hills. 1000 ft elevation gain and had to weave around all the 4th of July knuckle heads who only seem to get out once a year ... so no re... read more
