Really? I didn't mean for it to sound hellish. I really had a great time, for 16 miles at least, and feel pretty proud of myself for getting through 26 miles even without perfect training. Plus they posted official results today and I came in 3rd (out of 5) in my age group!

Volunteered at the pre-reg table and then ran the 10k for free, just as a base run. Did a mile cool down. Supposed to run 2 hours today but I think 2 laps is my max for the lake.


I learned very quickly at Nike it was not flat despite it's appearance. Too many nightmares. I will never run Lake Merced again. Good job, better you than me. :)
