blah Round 400 - Mysore 450.11 km 29:49 9.4mph pace

BRM 400. With Silvester J.
With this completes my SR series, the one needed to qualify for PBP.
We had plans of riding to Mysore before the brevet. But we got late in Bangalore itself and we took a lift in a van carrying Generator, from Kengeri.
Brevet started by sat morining 0415 hrs. Initial portion to Hassan was rolling, but easy. On the way, we met again the guys who dropped us in Mysore, who were bound to Chikmagalur..
From Hassan started hell. Heat, head winds, dust and rolling terrain - A combination of them. We were at snail's pace but never stopped. There were nice descents where we had to pedal hard to maintain a 18 kmph which at normal case would be 35+ kmph without pedalling.. A kg of watermelon, a full cucumber each, and 8 glasses of cane juice(4 each) was the lunch. We managed to meet NH controls with barely 15 min extra time.
After dinner, Gude Maranahalli to Magadi was total pain with non existent roads. To meet the timing, we had to literally fly from Magadi to Ramanagara, thanks to the descends, we reached with half an hour to spare..
90 min of rest at a CCD after Chennapatna - put us back on track to chase the time. I had to be harsh to pull both of us to end when Silvester J. asked for breaks.. Merciless riding put us in comfortable position again - we finished with an hour to spare..
We rode to Srirangapatna from where we were not ready for hotty ride, back to back. Got a lift back to Bangalore again..
Kudos to Silvester J. who does 300+ rides directly after 3+ months of rest, and guess what, he manages to complete them..

Brevet timing :-
Ride time : 19:42:12
Total time : 25:51:00 (+12 min - we started a bit late after start time)
