BRM 200. Accompanied Kalpesh for his last one for SR medal... Sudden last day decision made to start unprepared for the ride and so,everywhere we had to race... The continuous rainfall made the bus to drop us at Koyambedu by 0520 hrs for the brevet starting 22 kms away, at 0530 hrs.. 5 minutes to get the bike ready, and we started racing towards starting point.. Though I had gone once and so blur memories of route were there, not to take chance, we used google navigation.. Reached start point by 0605 hrs, 7 minutes for formalities and jersey change, we started at 0613 hrs, 43 minutes late, with the first control at 22nd km... Easy 30+ speed in plains saw us at first control, at 0655 hrs.. Then we took a long breakfast break, thought of taking it easy thereafter, but the plain roads with big shoulder and nice tarmac pushed us and we reached U - turn point by 1048 hrs.. We met all the known Madras Rando friends enroute.. A lunch break after U turn and two very small breaks at Vandalur and Kelambakkam, and constant 27+ speed saw us at end control, 09 hrs 55 minutes after the event start time.. Mild Head winds were there for most part, and sun taxed us too much in the return leg..
Rest of almost an hour at BSA Riderz and damn slow ride towards bus stand which took almost 100 minutes for the same stretch where we took 40 minutes by morning, we caught bus back to Bangalore immediately.. Overall, a fantastic experience with almost zero preparation...

Brevet Stats :-
Distance - 203 kms
Time - 09 hrs 55 mins (09 hrs 12 mins actual, considering late start)

Remaining :- Commute kms

Brilliant as usual! Amazing what you do, landing at Chennai 10 mins before start and doing the brevet casually.
