I have very mixed emotions about this race. For starters-I felt that it was over and beyond my abilities to run its entire course. But aside from a flat 17 mile walk-this was my longest distance on foot doing anything. I was not able to run the entire course-I am not sure if I ran half or not. It was not only a trail run and hilly. But this morning we had a downpour. I have never ran that far in long streams of wet sloggy mud and water. I found it to be fun at times. But this wear made the last three miles a real sufferfest for me. It was warmer today than what I am acclimated to. So I was pretty fatigued towards the last 3 miles. I was most dissapointed with myself at the finish. If nothing else I am inspired to become a stronger and more enduring runner. I ran/walk with a friend and we enjoyed each other's company. Made it a great day to be doing what I can and pushing my limits. Starting temp 63 degrees, 84 percent humidity with SE winds at 8 mph. Finished temp. 79 degrees. 60 percent humidity with S winds at 18 mph.
