I was so sad to cancel my running date this morning because of my hip. I was rolling and stretching at 4:15am trying to get it to work out but I knew I was going to have to take today off. Nothing major, I just positioned my leg wrong while icing last night (and fell asleep). So to the pool...
It seems people are saying 35 laps = a mile at the W Y lap pool so that's what I'm going off of. Mind you, I did stop in between laps here and there and talked to the guy next to me--who told me I need to shoot to have 10 strokes for 25 yards (I have 23!).

Yea 35 laps should be about a mile! Ya shorted yourself if you did 35 laps! 35 laps = 1750 :) Nice job!!!

10 strokes per 25yards is not very many....you'd have to be kicking like a mad woman inbetween each stroke and really gliding to get you there. I'm around 15-17 strokes per 25yrds unless I'm really working on reducing my stroke count. Then I get down to 13-14
