I turned on the Garmin to head out today and as soon as I hit it, beep, low battery. Low battery? How does that happen when I keep it plugged in?? Oh well, somehow it wasnt charged. I plugged it in for about 10 minutes before I headed out.
I took off wanting to keep a 10 min pace in mind but I also knew I would hit some hills so I didnt expect it to be constant during the run. I went to Blendon Woods where I found some new trails. It was a nice run but still tough with the temps in the 70's. That is still to hot for me.
Garmin died just before I got home but at that point i was at a 10:00 overall average and was going at a 9 min pace with only .1 to go. I think my guess on my time is pretty close.
Just a few weeks until my full in Erie. I'm not where I want to be training wise, but I have had other things which took priority over running. Everyone will learn about that at another time so stay tuned.

My garmin has done the same thing to me. I didn't realize you were doing the full at Erie! I'm doing the half...guess I will see you then & cheer you on to the finish!!

You're doing great with training and training smart for how your body feels. The consistency and the smart runs to keep injury at bay will pay off! New trails sound like wicked fun and great run!!

Yeah, that's Garmin's "Murphy's" setting: when you actually need it, the battery's dead. Way to make it happen anyway.
