  1. RUN
    good Shower 2.4 mi 00:20 08:20 pace

Quickie to get my legs moving. I needed this on a whole host of levels: my left calf was bothering me enough last night that I was worried I'd have to bag tomorrow's race. Some stretching... read more

  2. RUN
alright Yet Another Half Hour. 3.52 mi 00:30 08:31 pace

This was akin to running in an armpit. Hard to believe the weather is calling for showers and 53 for a high on Sunday.

I changed up my route today because another sameness run was going to kill m... read more

  3. RUN
alright Mere mortal today. 3.65 mi 00:30 08:12 pace

As productive as I was yesterday, today's morning has been a bit of a shitshow. I'm calling it the yin to yesterday's yang.

Was hoping this run would give me clarity or confidence o... read more

How would you know when you have a great day unless you have something to compare? Blazing 3.65 nevetheless.

  4. RUN
    great Supermom! 3.4 mi 00:30 08:47 pace

I am a fucking ROCKSTAR. This morning: ran a half hour, made lunches for my son and I, showered, took the puppy out a zillion times (okay only twice), made myself up, got him (and myself) fed and d... read more

  5. RUN
great Just A Half Hour in Boston. 3.72 mi 00:31 08:11 pace

Technically it's not a running day, but I had time for a half hour. Threw on my shoes after a LONG day of meetings and ran along the Charles. A lot of people out there today.

Weather wise I s... read more

  6. RUN
    great The "I Don't Wanna" LSD 8 mi 01:10 08:46 pace

I didn't want to do this. I am tired and sore from yoga yesterday and I kind of wanted to sleep in and eat pancakes with the family instead of going out for a run.

good Bikram Yoga - Salisbury 01:30

Hot, so hot in the room today. By the end, it was all I could do to stay in the room.

  8. RUN
great Yoga warm up 3.4 mi 00:28 08:05 pace

Just a half hour before bikram yoga today. Aimed at tempo pace since I'm doing a long run tomorrow. Felt okay, hard cardio-wise but legs were okay. Mostly. :)

  9. RUN
    great Confusing. 6.5 mi 00:53 08:05 pace

So most of my regular running routes start with a pretty steep eighth of a mile uphill. I can usually tell when a run is going to be hard from the get go - my pace that first eighth of a mile or so... read more

You know, just when you think you have things figured out, everything changes... Right? I've felt that way with runs also, and I'm not sure there is an answer! I just am thankful when it feels great and I enjoy my runs, rather than dragging lead legs. Nice job negotiating a bit longer run and having a great one! Looking forward to hearing how you do at the RTR!

Gorgeous running weather out there this morning.

good Saturday tempo 5 mi 00:41 08:11 pace

So decided with baseball and whatnot this morning to move my long run to tomorrow and do a tempo run today. Plan was for 1 mile w/u, 1 mile c/d, and then 3 at my tempo pace - 7:45 - 8:00ish.

good Sybil Run. 7 mi 01:01 08:42 pace

That's a huge improvement in a short time Karen ... not surprising given how hard and smartly you have trained. Nice to have a steady friend like Jen to warm up with - and nicer still to follow it up with a killer race. That sub-23 is just around the corner I suspect ... like next fall (unless you sneak another 5-K in before then).
