  1. FIT
    great Day Seventeen

150 squats, 20 push ups, 2 min plank, 100 sit ups. The plank was still brutal but not as bad as yesterday... anxious about adding another 30 seconds tomorrow.

  2. FIT
    blah Day Sixteen

For being a rest day for squats and sit ups, today sure was hard. Shoulders and abs feeling pretty tired going in so that plank was brutal. I got to the 2 min but it wasn't pretty... went to m... read more

Nice work, Kaili! What program are you doing? Also, where are you now? Are you still in Juneau or have you moved? I have been gone so much in the last few months, I've lost track of people!!

I moved to Seattle! It's been about 3 weeks... adjusting well. I just saw a 30 day challenge online that had squats, planks, sit ups and push ups. Not even sure if I could find it again but I took pictures and have been trying to stick to it since I desperately need to get back in shape. I miss Crossfit but don't want to sign up for one until I get a job lined up.

  5. FIT
    good Day Thirteen

Rest day for push up and planks. Proud of myself for managing to get my squats (130) and sit ups (80) in between setting up the tent and camp site for some fun camping in the woods.

  6. FIT
    good Day Twelve

Rest day for squats and sit ups. Did 15 push ups and 1.5 minute plank. And to think I barely made the 20 seconds on the first day!

  7. FIT

Day Eleven of a Thirty Day Challenge I'm doing. It's been perfect for waking these muscles back up. Today I did 110 squats, 15 push ups, 1 min plank and 70 sit ups. Started on day one wit... read more

I can forward you the 30 days of each exercise if you want? I can't remember where I saw it posted but I saw it and was like, "yep, I'm doing that." I took pictures and then rewrote onto a makeshift calendar so I can see what each day entails.

Checked the calendar and holy cow- only 12 weeks until the Klondike. That got me off the couch and into my running shoes. Just enough time before softball to get 2 miles eeked out.

Hmmm, I'm not sure how to remedy that situation other than somehow fuse some fleece or chamois over the seams.
Applying Body Glide or another lubricant before you put them on might help too. That is a bummer; it's frustrating when workout gear turns out to not be functional!

Oh yeah... so to be clear they were great but the stitching had just come out. I'm not sure if there is a specific stitch or sewing machine maneuver that keeps the seam flat.

Oh, I get it--sorry, I misunderstood. There is a flat seam that can be created with a machine. Ask Val Snyder at the Brown Boots Costume Company (Isn't she on your Klondike team?!) if she could do it or show you how to do it. I'm sure she'd know how!

Way to push through it! That's the best thing about running outside, you can't just walk off the treadmill and quit! No matter how fast or slow, you still did the miles!
