@Denise. That stroller is so heavy! It slows me down about 1min to 1:30/ mile. Not being able to use my arms is also a bear
It is weird though, because you'd think that your arms would get tired, but its actually your legs. It is like you have to push harder with your legs to move the stroller as opposed to just picking up your feet when running without it. Lately I have been starting most of my runs from that parking lot.

Do you know if the river trail still has fallen trees?

Hey Lisa. I heard that the trail is still pretty bad. Not 100% sure though since I haven't been there is 3 weeks. I was thinking about trying tomorrow, but with all of the rain, it might be a day for playing in traffic on the roads.

Hey guys, Thanks for all the support. I hear ya! Love that run before a day off. It just seems to open the whole day up. So far everything is going really well. This is the most mileage I have done without the combination of motion control shoes and orthotics. I am on my way to fulfilling my epic quest of 80 injury free miles/week for 3-5 weeks. :-) Uncharted territory for sure!

nice work lisa. i find the elliptical to be boring, but an excellent workout for my legs, i rather run on the treadmill. yesterday i watched part of a movie and that helped the time go by...and because it was a movie i wanted to watch. a rare thing for me.

      Hi Joanna,
Thank you. So far I am moving along well. But really have to get into a better and more consistent strength training and stretching routine. I believe that if I correct these weaknesses I will be able to achieve more. Good luck to you too. Thanks again. Happy trails.

Thanks Valerie. LOL! Today I was passed by a man pushing a stroller. I didn't realize how hard it was until I had to do it. It is weird not being able to use your arms and you have to push with your legs as opposed to just lifting them in running. I am sure once he gets in the jogging stroller it will be a lot easier. :-)

nice run lisa; still going even tho' your legs are sore. the deer around here scatter like um...bugs when they see us. one time, i swear, a deer was with her fawn and as i approached to take a picture, she stomped her hoof at me, as if to say get back and i did.

@Shannon L: I hear ya on the dogs. And a lot of times the people in the park where I run don't put their dogs on leashes either. Nothing worse than a dog coming right at you while you are running.

It does feel good; just as long as I don't try to sit. :-) Doing another strength training session today. I really need to make it a regular occurrence. Think it will help me to stay injury free. You have a great day too.
