Mt. Yamnuska 01:00

haha Yamnuska was deceptively harder than I gave it credit for! I didn't hike the whole thing, I went up for 35 minutes at a brisk pace and then sat down for a while and just relaxed. I forgot the most important thing - DON'T WEAR COTTON SOCKS!! the chafing is horrible on the back of the ankles. My right knee also put up good protest on the descent, one other reason I'm glad I didn't venture too far. But I also need to keep well-rested for work since my job is so tough now. 11.25hrs on Monday, I forgot what day of the week it is/was since it's been so crazy, and I think yesterday was a shorter day, just 9.5 hrs or so. The lifting isn't bad at all, it actually feels great! And my whole upper body is starting to look and feel much stronger again!! It's such a great feeling, I love it. The hours aren't that bad either, starting really early and having a day off mid-week is actually really great. Day is done early and I get a day off on the quietest day of the week since everyone else is slaving away at work somewhere so I can get all of my stuff done much faster and more easily. Or go for a ride....or hike... and no one is there. The two most stressful things on my job so far - backing up and parking a 23' body job truck in a parkade or space that would give me grief even in a pickup truck, and taking a 300lb load on a dolley down 2 flights of stairs.... or UP 3 stairs at one restaurant. Oh man. It's been a lot of fun though so far.

I learned a huge lesson yesterday- getting rich has NOTHING to do with possessing a great idea, invention or innovation. It has EVERYTHING to do with one word: exploitation. Exploiting a labour force, a market, a resource, an entire country, an idea, a technology... It's all about exploitation. That is how people get rich. And thus, the birth of capitalist dickheads and the 21st century world crisis. We haven't gone off the deep end yet, but just wait until all the oil sucking and manipulation of commodities totally fucks us all into global impoverishment and enslavement.
