Nice run through the trails with friends. Stomach & head were achy after a very rare night out drinking but thats the good thing about running dates...you are accountable to show up :)

Shakeout run to test how the post Chicago marathon recovery is going. Left calf still extremely tight so I'll take Saturday and Sunday off completely.

Congratulations, Kris. Knocking five minutes off a sub-3:00 PR is a pretty impressive feat. No stopping you now. Sub-2:50 here we come! Recover well, and I look forward to seeing you at the races...

Taper is getting real here people :) Nice easy run with a friend. Surprisingly I felt great even after the 8K race yesterday. Felt very strange not to be running 15-22 miles on a Sunday morning.

The taper is maddening and I've only done halfs. And I'm not speedy. And I ignore most tapering plans. Hope you can be strong and stay easy to save yourself for greatness!

You and Renee are both elite runners. Nice to meet you in person and chat with you two before the start and to then see you both streaking home 1, 2 and not too far behind Steve. Excellent race and amazing when 5:50s can feel like a breeze. :)
