Taking a break from running for a few days. The groin/upper leg strain is still present, and everything I've read says a few days' rest can help avoid many months rest later. This may cancel the 5K this weekend but that's okay -- the marathon in 6 weeks is the focus here.


Smart move, you don't want to jeopardize running your marathon. It will be tough, but take it easy for a week.

Mileage is overated! Rest the body and come back with some great quailty runs!

Smart move, I found out the hard way that pushing through pain is a BAD idea.
Hope the rest helps you get back on your feet quickly!
