    Got a marathon Sunday! Running 10:30/11 pace with the wife. Fingers crossed my knee feels fine, weather isn't rainy as predicted, and the wife does great.

      Justin - if it is runner's knee, then it'll go away, eventually! When I was a fairly new runner, it seemed to be an indicator that I needed new shoes!

      If it's the PFPS pain below the knee cap, 2-3 rest days should take care of it. If it's annoying but can still run, I've found the Mueller Jumper's Knee band works well.

      If it's runner's knee, then moving the kneecap up and down and wobbling it a bit, and doing clamshell exercises, will fix it. If it's something else, they won't fix it. But rest always helps. Aspirin or ibuprofen are anti inflammatory, but go easy on it as you need inflammation to heal. However if it's arthritis, then aspirin and ibuprofen will help, as inflammation makes that worse! So you need to know just what's wrong and address it. No matter what, dialling it back will help.
