    good personal trainer 01:00

Good workout but not sure if I will continue with this trainer for a variety of reasons. Will try to set up a session with someone else soon though. I like getting back to the strength work in addi... read more

great Huckleberry Half 13.1 mi 02:18 10:32 pace

This was a really great little race. Beautiful shady course, donut holes at the finish and a really cool wooden Sasquatch medal.

  3. RUN
good easy 4 with the tourists 4 mi 00:41 10:15 pace

First run since the relay. Quads still a bit stiff but overall this went well. I am questioning the sanity of signing up for a half marathon the weekend following the relay, but I'm running t... read more

    tired CLR Leg 3 5.6 mi 01:02 11:04 pace

Boy, this was tough. I was so tired by this time I could barely see straight. Leg started around 2:30 pm, full sun all the way, fairly steep descent starting at a high enough elevation that I cou... read more

  6. RUN
CLR, second leg 6.3 mi 01:03 10:00 pace

This was my 4th CLR and in previous years I ran the last of the second leg runs (if that makes sense). The other runners in my van would run in the darkness, but by the time I was up, it was dawn.... read more

  7. RUN
good CLR first leg 7 mi 01:20 11:25 pace

This went great for me. Lucked out and the heat started to abate just as I took off, so temp was only around 88 instead of 98 as it was for runner before me.

  8. RUN
    LPSP trails 3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

Short warm up to get ready for Cascade Lakes Relay.

  9. FIT
good Gym workout with new trainer 01:00

Feels good to be working on strength training again, but man was that hard.

  10. RUN
    good 8 hilly miles 8 mi 01:32 11:30 pace

This was a hard but good run. Ran up around Mt. Tabor. Beautiful day with just enough of a breeze to keep it cool and comfortable. Lots of lovely gardens to see in the neighborhood.

  11. RUN
good Easy 3 dodging tourists 3 mi 00:30 10:05 pace

So.many.tourists, riding bikes (verrrry slowly), carrying boxes of Voodoo Donuts, generally clogging up the waterfront. It's Oregon Brewfest so I guess I should have expected the crowds, but ... read more

    alright Waterfront 5 5 mi 00:53 10:34 pace

Managed to miss the rain completely (it started pouring right when I got out of the locker room!). We are just not used to this kind of humidity here though. Only 65 degrees, but 81% humidity. Oy.

  13. FIT
    alright Personal Trainer - session 2 01:00

Second session with new personal trainer at new gym. I really need to get back to strength training and I obviously am not able to get it done without a trainer standing over me. Not sure if I li... read more

    blah springwater/eastmoreland 10 mi 01:54 11:23 pace

This was brutal. Not sure why. Maybe it was the steep hike in the Columbia Gorge the day before?
