  5. Calling all of you that can do math. Google maps says my hill elevation is 1308 feet over .64 of a mile. What is that in % incline...please?

      J Pierre M.

0.64 mile = 3379 feet and so you have a climb of 1308/3379= 39 percent grade. That's pretty steep. Is it really that steep!? A 20 percent grade is considered extremely steep, so you need to be practically a mountain goat.

Either should work just fine. The difference is probably just due to rounding error.

Thanks all. Yes it was tough but I dealt with the pain much better this week. Runs the book is Jack Of Diamonds by Bryce Courtenay who also wrote The Potato Factory trilogy. It is excellently narrated by Humphrey Bowers and although a little lengthy Courtenay's books make good company on running excursions:o)

It's actually very therapeutic and easy to get in the zone. And according to the concept2 website appears to work out most of the areas us runners need.
