First full run in way, way, way to long. Felt good to be back running after a very long break into other adventures.

Get to the line healthy. Try to get in a couple of longish runs if you can stay pain free. Wear shoes ;)

Get there healthy. I started running again today. Gonna be a long fall and winter if you can't walk. Try and do 8ish maybe 9 but I wouldn't do more than that. I wish I could be there, but I didn't feel that great on the treadmill today.

Here is my new running vest for my nighttime running excursions. I don't think I can sneak up to anyone anymore. Erin wanted something that would allow me to be seen, mission accomplished.

I imagine it will take a while to get your feet back to where they were after the Fargo Marathon!

  13. RUN
alright Greenway after dark 2 mi 00:18 08:52 pace

Barefoot - Beetles were out in full force (not fun crunching them with no shoes) so I shortened my run to a warm up and mile test. Ran the warm up in 9:37 and the mile test in 8:08. I am amazed... read more

  14. RUN
good Greenway after dark 4.3 mi 00:41 09:35 pace

Barefoot - Longest run and fastest yet. Started in the dark and scared some poor people having a firepit. The barefooted ninja strikes again.

Isn't it strange? Feet are made for walking and running? Most docs want to sell us on products to "improve" our walking and running when all you need are feet.

Good choice! Most of my trail miles & ultras are in Merrells "barefoot" line. I wear moccasins in the winter, but you should like these. :)

Yes, last year the shoes I used we horrible. It took two days to recover before I could run again. I usually just run on a treadmill during the winter for runs under 5 miles and go outside for longer runs.

I hate the "dreadmill" and haven't run on one for years. I'll see what I can find to run almost "barefoot" in the winter months.
