good Meandering With the Kiddos 4.29 mi 00:38 08:47 pace

I nearly posted a zero for the day today. But, the kids and I got really stir crazy at about 7pm, so I decided it was a good opportunity for a run.

I took all three kids with me and we headed out to meander through the neighborhoods. We stumbled on a new road/neighborhood comprised of horse properties and gorgeous homes tucked on a (near) private road. It was really nice. Both for the change of scenery and nice road.

My only complaint on this run is that I think I ran a bit too soon after dinner. My grilled chicken taco wasn't sitting well, but after about two miles or so, it settled down. Besides, if I would have waited too much later, this great run wouldn't have happened.

On a side note, my 4-year-old daughter was climbing the hills on the route like a champion. I was very impressed with her and her determination. She tends to compete with her 8-year-old brother when we're out on runs, so we all benefited collectively.

Wow! Great pace, Josh! It's so much fun to get the kids involved. It sounds like your girl rocked it.

Thanks, guys. The kiddos definitely serve as carrots on the runs I take them on. With my two older ones competing for first place, it makes it tough to attempt to keep in contact with them. :)
