  1. Feeling very hesitant to do too many runs barefoot or in my vibrams. Very worried about getting injured and not being able to do my first marathon in May

      Just take it slow and start your runs with some time barefoot to build up and then throw on the shoes to complete the mileage.

      i'm going on vaca tomorrow to Florida for 8 days. Gotta do an 18 mile training run over the weekend and then i'm gonna run barefoot on some short runs each morning. Probably 5 to 10 min and then repeat each night and do one longer training run midweek with my marathon shoes. Don't want to get left behind and not make my goal for Aug of a 7.2 mile vibram run for an Olypmic tri that I'm doing

      don't worry. I think as a triathlete you know how to have confidence on the mental part to close the business, also for the marathon. I understand you... those distances scare a lot!

    Did a 5 miler today and then a 1 mile barefoot cool down run. I felt great running barefoot and can't wait for my marathon training to be over so I can train in bare feet all the time

      I understand your point... I'm preparing for a 70.3 triathlon (1 May), and it should requiere higher milleage on the run. But for now I stick to 100% barefoot. In April I should include some longer runs... I hope BF, but it's probably too early for 15-18 k runs BF.

      Shooting for a 50k trail run the end of Sept and am planning on training as much barefoot as possible and using new balance minimus trails for longer trail runs.
      Good luck with the 70.3. I'm planning on one for next year but I have an Olympic distance in Aug that I am planning on doing barefoot

      Awsome Jonathan. Ultra-trails, wow. I'm not yet ready for that. It'll be my third 70.3. My goal is to do better than last year, especially on the run. I believe BF training is the key! I shoud catch up with the swim though before May. My 70.3 "goal-race" is the last weekend of September, on Elba Island. A very hilly bike ride, and a great swim in blue Tyrrhenian water. Elbaman full IM is known to be one of the toughest in Europe.. maybe next year the full one. Good luck wth your races and training!

  5. Doing my 100 ups then barefoot for ten minutes and then finish the rest of my 3 miler. 7 more in the morning before work. Gonna do the 100 up, barefoot warmup and finish in my marathon shoes

    5 minute barefoot warm-up and then 13 mile run in my New balance 1190's...did my 100 ups before the barefoot run..last 2 miles were tough

    i was angry from a work related issue and pushed myself thinking about it and set a PR for 4 miles..i'm pretty slow so it was nice to do an under 10 min mile pace overall
