      @Dave - while the sprints obviously help with multiple areas of training, a big reason why Hudson includes them is to increase muscle strength and prevent injury. I think you'll only be able to tell if it helps over a long period of time (at least 1 full training cycle). And if you watched us out there this morning, you would definitely say Jon was having more fun than me. He hit the hills with a little more vigor than I :)

      @Rick - Yep, almost always TM for speedwork - though I'll be doing quite a few sessions of 800m repeats at HMP during MLRs outside this cycle. I think if I didn't run at 4:30am, I'd try the Rock Canyon track every now and then. Pretty much the only running I do anymore on the TM is my speedwork.

      @Kelly -- for Boston-specific training, run some hills toward the end of your long runs. Doesn't need to be much, but anything a half mile or so long, climbing 100' or so should do the trick. Maybe a couple repeats on that with 2-3 miles to go in a long once or twice per month??? Have fun!

      I thought for sure you would switch out this run for tomorrow, but NO, because you are BA. My legs were super tired, there was no way I could have pushed them to go harder. But that's why you are such a strong runner...because you are constantly pushing yourself. Enjoy some easy miles, they are WELL DESERVED...
