Had to go and get my teeth cleaned at the dentist. Which means an hour drive north. The best thing though is that Pittsfield State Forest is just 5 minutes away, and I took the time off work, so I could go and take a sweet run along some of my favourite trails here in western MA.

I can still feel like I have a cold, but definitely much better than yesterday, so looks like a short-lived virus - good.

I usually get lost here, but for once, I made it to the most awesome downhill there is around here - the Turner Trail, with a lot of windy switchbacks through the woods. Not too technical, so you can go quite fast, and always with a smile on your face :)

There was some ice up top on the ridge, which was a bit of a surprise given it's like 50º today, but then I remembered that it was 7ºF just last week... I managed to avoid any slippage though.

Certainly making lemonade today--turning a dentist visit into a unique run. Nice!

I'm glad the smile was nice and sparkly today as you ran down the Turner Trail! Sounds like a good way to console yourself for a dentist trip. Hope the virus is now annihilated!

Fun to have an add on like that - especially with a trip to the dentist!
