This is the Elevation profile from my planned flat Audax down south. I really should check the flatness before hand on the computer..... 8500 ft of climbing!

8500ft of climbing is a bit of a shock when you had planned a flat pootle through he souther counties!

I'm not sure Kevin people told me it was flat down South! Beautiful scenery and picture postcard villages as well. Lunch was on a pub green in the sun :)

Joe, 8500 ft of climbing ain't flat. Really! Flat is where I live. Reminds me of a four-mile race that I ran in the State of Massachusetts that was advertised as flat. The first mile was at a 16 degree incline. I just about died.

Those "Downs" aren't very well named Joe. TBH - I'd never have believed that one could ever get close to 8500 feet of ascent in those southy places.

Some big climbing there Joe. You sure you don't live just around the corner from me? I need to get over there for a ride some day. It's now on my bucket list.
