Foggy wet morning ... 52 degrees with a 13 to 18 mph wind of the SSW bringing that fog in (I put on flashers to attempt to make myself more visible to the tourists) so even though there was a steady but comfortable rain, the air felt thick. Enjoyable run though my legs are a tad tired and the shoes got increasingly heavy as they got wetter - and I wore my heaviest shoes with the most heel-to-toe drop to give my calves and achilles a bit of a break.
Why 6 for Shannon H.? Because she is going to do 6 today (about a minute or more/mile faster no doubt) and as I was running I wondered when we'd be at a race together again. Maybe in Boston - more on that in a minute. Anyway, hope she enjoys her run as much as I did. I do like running in rainy weather like this ... keeps this big body cool!

Great run, Jim!! Go Sharon! Do it!

Jim! You're the best. Good stuff today, friend. I can't wait to see you (and of course the lovely Patti) soon. Even if we don't race. Until Boston, I will seek you out for a scenic running tour once I have dates lined up for Ogunquit :)

Great 6 Jim, and a vivid post as usual. I'm actually beginning to find that the lower heel-to-toe drop shoes make my Achilles feel better. Go figure.
