In the spirit of the step-back week a nice short recession run ... the standing water is in full recession often leaving behind large yellow rings of pine pollen marking its former high water points. Legs and body felt better then yesterday on another fall-like morning (52 degrees with a gentle 4 to 5 blow out of the NNE under cloudy skies). Wanted to run more but 'trying to be good' to myself.
The weather remains an absolute mixed bag as yesterday we had rain, a little sun and then both with accompanying rainbows followed by a huge brilliant full moon cutting through the various cloud banks as it rose majestically over the ocean. By this weekend it is supposed to clear off and be in the mid-to-upper 70s but this morning I started a fire in the wood stove both to warm-up and dry out the house. Hopefully the lawn will dry out enough that I can bale, I mean, mow the grass before we lose a child in it.
Happy hump day, National Running Day, D-day and Marlene E.'s birthday ... truth be told I find it very appropriate that her birthday and D-day share the same date.
